Entries will be assessed by a panel of judges who shall be experts in different fields of science, technology, business and intellectual property. The following factors shall be considered when assessing entries:

• Extent to which the product would satisfy a need

• Solutions to national challenges

• Appearance and tactile aspects (i.e. aesthetic and egornomics)

• Origionality of invension/innovation

• Safety and adherence to relevant quality standards

• Robustness

• Value for money

• Environment friendliness

• Market potential of prototype nationally and internationally

• Evidence of acceptance by customers or market potential

• Clarity of presentation
